The Colorectal Cancer Biorepository Coordinator is responsible for recruiting patients to the colorectal cancer database and the biorepository, coordinating the acquisition of time-sensitive samples for patients with colorectal cancer or premalignant lesions, and maintaining clinical and relevant information in the database. The coordinator will screen and recruit patients for enrollment and specimen collection, coordinate processing of specimens, collection of clinical data, and administration of the database, including IRB continuing progress reports. This position will work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement the biobanking repository for colorectal cancer patients. The position requires direct patient contact including obtaining consent for and entering information into the database and biorepository. The position will use software to track new and follow up patients through the care continuum. The position will also work in the research laboratory to process and store the clinical samples; will work closely with the lab to run experiments and generate data from tissue samples collected to find new and better ways to detect, diagnose, treat and prevent disease.
