GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under general supervision, responsible for providing support for a variety of law-related activities that do not require a law degree including:

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in the oversight of corporate governance matters, including internal committee and subsidiary management.

• Assists in the preparation and organization of meetings of the Board of Directors.

• Drafts legal documents of some Intermediate complexity, including secretary's certificates and other documentation evidencing corporate actions.

• Performs legal research.

• Conducts fact gathering.

• Maintains and updates electronic and paper files.

• Drafts correspondence.

• Provides documents responsive to internal and external document requests.

• May design, develop and/or maintain department databases.

• Receive instruction, guidance, and direction from the legal team.

• Perform routine assignments under the direction of the bank attorneys.

• Develop competence by performing structured work assignments.

• Use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.

• Performs a variety of law-related tasks under the direction of the bank attorneys.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelors degree preferred.

• Paralegal degree from an American Bar Association approved program required.

• 2-4 years of experience after Paralegal qualification.

• Demonstrates Excellent organizational, communications and time management skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal Office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.

• Extended viewing of a CRT screen.
