Description
As a Member Service Teller at Summit Credit Union's Stoughton branch, you will engage in meaningful conversations with members during high volume hours. You will complete a variety of banking transactions with a high degree of accuracy. We seek team members who listen carefully to our members' needs to uncover ways to help improve their financial situation. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, possess outstanding communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, and demonstrate a passion for helping people.
Essential Functions
- Member Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact, building positive rapport and actively listening to members' needs.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently handle teller transactions and balance daily.
- Problem Resolution: Address account errors, provide maintenance, and offer solutions to potential problems.
- Financial Advice: Make recommendations and refer members to other solutions to improve their financial situation.
- Education: Inform members about online and mobile banking options.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with other employees, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
- Compliance: Ensure all job functions comply with BSA, OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP).

- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for projecting a positive image as representative of the Credit Union.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with others.
- Requires judgment to solve day-to-day problems within established guidelines.
- Work requires knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic mathematical skills required.

Required Statement Sections
- Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, walk and sit, and use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Saturday hours required.
