Facilities Technologist

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking for a reliable Facilities Technologist to help maintain our 17-building complex and support over 900 employees. The facilities team often works closely with Engineers to support varied program needs. The selected candidate will gain work experience in a variety of trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodworking, painting, and carpentry.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of directly related experience, or related certification and 4+ years of directly related experience, or an associate's degree and 3+ years of directly related experience
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
• Prior experience performing preventative maintenance operations in an R&D laboratory environment
• Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines
• Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task for all areas involved
• Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment

• Trade certification or license
• Working knowledge of BAS Controls
• Commercial HVAC experience
• Willingness to be on call after hours
• Working knowledge of trades
• Willingness to travel as needed

• $50,000-$85,000
  • Salary commensurate based on education and experience
