Job ID: 3999 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking for a reliable Facilities Technologist to help maintain our 17-building complex and support over 900 employees. The facilities team often works closely with Engineers to support varied program needs. The selected candidate will gain work experience in a variety of trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodworking, painting, and carpentry.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of directly related experience, or related certification and 4+ years of directly related experience, or an associate's degree and 3+ years of directly related experience
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
- Prior experience performing preventative maintenance operations in an R&D laboratory environment
- Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines
- Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task for all areas involved
- Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certification or license
- Working knowledge of BAS Controls
- Commercial HVAC experience
- Willingness to be on call after hours
- Working knowledge of trades
- Willingness to travel as needed
*Salary Range
- $50,000-$85,000
- Salary commensurate based on education and experience
