Job Description

Vernal, Utah

Warehouse Supervisor: Directs warehousing activities for Sales Center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisor(s). While performing the duties of this job one must be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. One must regularly lift and/or move unaided up to 60 pounds and exert force of 100 pounds to lift or move objects with the aid of a manual lifting device.

  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of product and materials (includes outdated, damaged, and pilfered inventory) and keeping warehouse inventory current and at appropriate levels.
  • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
  • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
  • Takes a leading role in ordering product to maintain an adequate inventory level for the business needs.
  • Collaborates with Sales Center leadership regarding upcoming promotional events to ensure adequate inventory is available.
  • Counts and verifies inventory as required by company policy.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
