Job Title: IT Manager

Summary: We are seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Manager to lead global IT operations for a private equity-backed manufacturing company with an active acquisition strategy. This role is responsible for driving the IT roadmap, managing cybersecurity and data privacy, overseeing ERP and data warehouse systems, and leading post-acquisition IT integrations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and experience in managing IT across a multi-site, global manufacturing environment. This is a key role with high visibility, working closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities: As the IT Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Manage and execute the IT Roadmap to support scalable operations and business priorities.
  • Serve as owner of the company's data warehouse, ensuring integrity, accessibility, and performance.
  • Consolidate and manage global IT purchases to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Lead IT due diligence and integration efforts for newly acquired companies.
  • Provide dedicated IT integration support during onboarding of acquisitions.
  • Manage the company's ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and user adoption.
  • Oversee all aspects of global IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Ensure global data privacy compliance across systems and processes.
  • Maintain business continuity, uptime, and secure environments across all sites.
  • Lead and mentor IT teams and/or service providers across multiple locations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for software, services, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor KPIs and continuously improve IT service delivery and user experience.
  • Support executives with special projects.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects assigned in support of business objectives.

Requirements

You're a great fit for this position if this describes you;

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5-10+ years of progressive IT experience, including management of enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or private equity-backed organizations preferred.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (Syteline, NetSuite, SAP, Epicor).
  • Proven track record managing IT integration, cybersecurity, and data privacy compliance.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with global systems, vendors, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with post-acquisition integration.
  • Able to conduct effective meetings at any level.
  • Able to define complex problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, evaluate options and, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions, choose the most appropriate one and implement solutions.
  • Strong management/leadership skills; able to lead people and get results through others.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Own your PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma certifications. Or be willing/able to attain them.
  • CISSP, CISM, or other cybersecurity certifications.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS certifications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring error-free documents and effective interaction with internal and external contacts, utilizing tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions, directions and other communication in English.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment, while responding to change favorably and quickly.
  • Safety is at the forefront of your mind when working and you follow all policies to promote a safe working environment.
  • You bring with you a positive attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Help United Safety operate effectively by adhering to attendance and punctuality standards.
