About the Job

Summary of Position
The University of Minnesota's Yannopoulos Lab seeks a motivated and experienced Research Professional to join our team. This position is focused on advancing cardiology and resuscitation science research, contributing to groundbreaking discoveries in cardiovascular interventions. The incumbent will conduct and support research with minimal supervision and serve as a technical resource for less senior lab members. This is a non-supervisory, full-time role requiring strong research acumen, organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit.

The position requires 3 days on campus presence per week.

Research and Technical Support - 40%
-Design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments involving cardiac interventions,
particularly in large animal models.
-Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data to evaluate biological responses.
-Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to less senior researchers.

Grant and Manuscript Development - 30%
-Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to develop, draft, and revise grant proposals,
including NIH submissions.
-Assist in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and technical
reports.
-Contribute to regulatory and compliance documentation as needed.

Scientific Communication and Dissemination - 20%
-Summarize research outcomes and present findings to internal research groups and
external scientific audiences.
-Assist in the coordination of collaborative efforts with internal and external research
partners.

Lab Operations and Support - 10%
-Maintain detailed and organized records of protocols, data, and research findings.
-Assist in ensuring compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and
safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Required:
-BA/BS degree plus at least four years of relevant experience, or a combination of
education and relevant work experience to equal at least eight years

Preferred Qualifications:
-MD or PhD

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.59/hour - $44.75/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
