Job Description

This role is based in Mequon office and will have a hybrid work schedule and will report to Hardware Dev Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including collaboration and influencing skills across geographic boundaries.
  • Experience leading embedded software development teams.
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, reporting and providing coordination guidance across multiple teams.
  • Expertise in managing firmware release schedules, priorities and dependencies.
  • Capability to management firmware risk and issues.
  • Ensure firmware adherence to security and safety standards.
  • Ability to foster and effective resolution of firmware anomalies and vulnerability reports.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with functional managers to determine resource requirements that support project goals with respect to time, budget and quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead, motivate and resolve conflict within a project team environment, ensuring cost-effective completion of scheduled activities
  • Ability to collaborate on problems to clarify ambiguity and provide options for a resolution

The Essentials- you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred- you might also have:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in real-time embedded software design using C++.
  • Thorough understanding of software development processes and principles, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery model and tools like TeamCity or Jenkins.
  • Experience with work management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience applying object-oriented design methods using C++.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking (TCP/IP, TLS, DTLS)
  • Understanding of model design techniques such as UML.
  • Knowledge of on-target firmware debagging techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of quality assurance in software development.
  • Understanding of embedded control systems including multi-core processing.
  • General understanding of 230-480VAC industrial power conversion equipment and/or industrial automation products and environments.
  • Experience with motion control systems and/or industrial automation products and environments.
