The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Project Coordinator to support our government customer located in Kaua'I, Hawai'i.

Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and within the awarded contract cost and schedule. This person will work on a military installation, coordinating multiple projects. The Project Coordinator will also have oversight of multiple projects and will use tools such as Excel to track project progress, work assignment, and provide status as requested by Management.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the project acquisition cycle; requirements review, proposal kick-off, proposal development, proposal finalization reviews, and contract award kick-off meetings.
  • Oversees material procurements and subcontractor requirements.
  • Identifies timeline for materials ordering and subcontractor requirements.
  • Ensures necessary "bench stock" materials to affect everyday maintenance requirements have been established.
  • Coordinate on work orders requisitions to make sure they were in the proposal and that the cost is the same, tracks purchase requests through to purchase orders, receives and authorizes payments for materials and subcontractor support.
  • Work with task managers to identify, evaluate, and manage task requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between department supervisors and Gov't personnel.
  • Coordinate technical and skilled personnel support in accordance with scheduled maintenance and corrective requirements as identified.
  • Assign and track work packages and budgets.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on work scheduled, work completed, and any issues identified.
  • Provide support through real time monitoring, team participation, assessment guidance and continuous improvement application.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling of tasks according to the Program requirements.
  • Monitor costs, schedules, scope and resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Collect, track, validate and timely submit deliverable items.
  • Implement a baseline control process.
  • Collect and report actual costs, open commitments and collect realistic estimates to complete (ETC) to calculate timely estimates at completion (EAC).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing of stairs. Environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, an office laboratory environment with field assignments.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

A minimum of three (3) years of project coordination experience. Some college preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on scheduling experience
  • Proficient in project management software, and preferably MS Project
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Base Operations Support / Range Operations Support experience preferred
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management software preferred

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
