Job Title: Senior Scientist (Chemistry)Job Description: Position Description: Senior Scientist (Chemistry) for Entegris Inc., Billerica, MA. Implement and deploy multiple organic analytical techniques to support membrane R&D and new liquid filtration and purification products development in the Micro-contamination Control Division (MC); serve as a subject matter expert related to the characterization of organic contaminates for semiconductor applications; perform advanced organic analysis using various analytical instruments, as well as other analytical methodologies depending on project needs; design, execute, and interpret laboratory experiments and data; develop and optimize organic analytical strategies for continuous improvement of existing testing methods; utilize Mass Spectrometry instruments for qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds, interpretation of spectra, and identification of unknown compounds; ensure timely completion and delivery of analytical results and documentation (technical reports, SOPs, etc.) including clear and concise technical data presentation and discussion; evaluate and develop new technologies in an independent manner and be able to propose or design implementation strategies; use product and testing expertise to collaborate with internal and external customers to determine root causes in product development and quality problems; collaborate closely with application team to solve customer quality complaints and provide solutions to their technical issues and ensure analytical needs are met; identify and advocate new, emerging, and innovative technologies in analytical characterization analysis; document work in internal reporting systems, and external publications; provide technical expertise, troubleshooting support, and training to junior scientists and team members as needed; and Promote Entegris' image by participating in industrial conferences and seminars. Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry or Materials Science and 4 years of experience as a chemist or material scientist. Must have 4 years of experience in or with: method development and validation; instrument and method troubleshooting; with organic analytical techniques (GCMS, GC-QToF, LC-QToF, GC-QqQ, LC-QqQ, Py-GCMS, HPLC, and wet chemistry techniques) operations; and application of mass spectrometry (MS) to facilitate method development. Must have 1 year experience with: Training junior scientists or chemists. Salary: $142,830/year #LI-DNI |
