Legacy of Delano, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Director Culinary Services to join our growing team!

Legacy of Delano is a fun filled Senior Living Facility, located right off of Highway 12 in Delano, near Coborn's. It has 51 total units, between both Assistant Living, Independent, and Memory Care Apartments. Delano is a growing community with compassionate team members, who help our residents AGE Magnetically, join our team today!

Shifts Available: Full-Time - MOD Weekend Rotation
Wage: $58,000-$65,000 based on experience

Are you compassionate towards others? Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? If so, we want you to join our team and help seniors Age Magnificently! Our Director of Culinary becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community.

In this position, you will be Responsible for meeting high standards in the areas of meal preparation, communication, record keeping, and effectively working with staff, residents, tenants, and their families to ensure high quality and nutritional dietary services.

Duties include:



  • Purchase and check-in all food and non-food items.
  • Manage inventory weekly.
  • Review and adhere to departmental budget.
  • Oversee the production and service of food and participate as needed.
  • Hire, orientate, train, counsel, and discipline culinary employees.
  • Develop work procedures and schedules.
  • Evaluate work performance of culinary employees.
  • Participate in facility leadership meetings, Interdisciplinary Team meetings, Quality Assurance/Improvement, Care Conferences, and other facility meetings as required.
  • Make daily contact with residents and families.
  • Interview residents and families to ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Nutritional monitoring of residents through assessments, progress notes and dietary care planning.
  • Work in conjunction with facility Consulting Dietitian (where applicable) to assure optimum nutrition is obtained for all residents.
  • Complete documentation as needed.
  • Process and review diet orders to ensure compliance with physician orders.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Must have a current Serve Safe Certification (or acquired within first month of employment)
  • Minimum of one year experience in culinary field preferred.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills.
