Position Title: Production Planner
Wage: $25-$30/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-3:30pm Join a company that is an industry leader in precision machined parts and engineering solutions. Production Planner Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Determine daily, weekly, and monthly production activities - Work with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production Managers to plan and coordinate production schedules including out-vendor processes - Schedule all production departments according to material, employee and availability of equipment - Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Finance to determine effective scheduling parameters - Load and maintain production plan, lead-times, and scheduling parameters within the ERP System (Epicor) - Identify and report plant capacity constraints to Production Managers and Sales/Customer Support - Monitor workflow and schedules while updating to ensure on-schedule production to maintain on-time shipping to customers - Ensure that materials and equipment are available for planned set-ups - Work with Production Managers and Engineering to develop potential solutions and improve production performance - Develop effective scheduling processes to improve operational efficiencies and achieve production objectives - Generate production reports for Production Managers for critical decision-making purposes - Prepare and complete jobs and maintain job quantities - Coordinate with Maintenance to schedule machine access for preventive maintenance Production Planner Requirements: - Bachelor's degree - Background in manufacturing with minimum of 5 years of experience - Proficiency in ERP systems - Experience working with outsourced operation a plus - Good Communication Skills - Sound problem solving skills - Superior organization and planning skills - Epicor Knowledge - Expertise with EPICOR 10 is a plus - Experience scheduling act machining preferred - Microsoft Office knowledge preferred Benefits: 401(k) matching, Dental insurance, Employee assistance program, Health insurance, Health savings account, Life insurance, Paid time off, Vision insurance QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
