Overview:

HGA is an award winning architectural, engineering, interior design, and planning firm with a full-time opportunity in our Minneapolis office for a talented interior designer. In this position, you will collaborate with and be an integral part of the architectural and interior design team, supporting the development of the Interior Design efforts; performing all technical aspects of the interior design process from project setup through to construction administration; and assisting and participating in data gathering, planning and documentation.

In this role you will:

    Be responsible for developing design solutions with enduring impact though original insight.
  1. Work with Architectural and Interior Design team to develop the interior design solutions for projects ranging across market sectors, though previous experience in healthcare environments is preferred.
  2. Research materials and concepts to advise and support design team on technical issues influencing interior design concept development.
  3. Collaborate and communicates effectively and professionally with multidisciplinary team members.
  4. Work within project schedules to establish work effort and prioritize tasks for coordination and completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion.


You will need to have:

  • Four-year degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited program
  • 7-10 years of interior design experience in a variety of market sectors, some healthcare experience preferred.
  • Fluent knowledge of Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and/or other related graphic software programs is expected
  • Interest in working across multiple market sector including, healthcare, workplace, higher education, and arts & cultural.
  • Knowledge of 3D programs such as Revit, Enscape, Rhino or Sketch-up
  • Experience leading interior design concept development and interior design implementation, including space planning technical documentations skills. Ie. 3D visualization, design detailing, and completion of construction documentation
  • Experience presenting design concepts and leading design review meetings with owner and user groups
  • Experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating workflow with interior design team members.
  • Must be able to work in the Minneapolis office for at least 3 days a week


Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $60,400 - $76,300
