The STEMI/Stroke Coordinator functions in support of and in collaboration with other healthcare team members by serving as a consultant, educator, researcher, and change agent. This position supports the goals of the hospital in the advancement of and the provision of quality STEMI and stroke care and is required to develop and facilitate program protocols, provide education and training, collect and report data, analyze data for improvements, and to provide community outreach. The STEMI/Stroke Coordinator is required to obtain and maintain Chest Pain Center Accreditation and Stroke Accreditation through The Joint Commission (TJC).
