About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Technology team as a Business Technology Manager. This unique role combines the critical skills of technical platform support with the operational expertise of business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical platform management, technology integration, business operations, data management, and project coordination, particularly within the investment management industry. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

What you will do



  • Ensure the continuous operation and performance of business application platforms by performing regular maintenance, applying updates, and leading system upgrades.
  • Implement and supervise security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical support to users, resolve platform-related issues, and conduct training sessions to improve user proficiency and adoption of the platform.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for platform-related services, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate the resolution of any vendor-related issues or bugs.
  • Continuously monitor platform performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or other disruptions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, processes, and changes. Generate regular reports on platform performance and issues.
  • Actively engage with collaborators to understand their needs, objectives, and constraints. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather detailed and accurate requirements.
  • Handle the full lifecycle of vendor integration, from initial business requirements and vendor selection to implementation and business model integration. .
  • Contribute to data governance practices to define and improve data lineage, processes, accuracy, and cataloging.

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,700 - $189,400 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.

Who you are



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, PMP) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experiencein the investment management industry.
  • Proven track record in maintaining and upgrading investment management platforms, ensuring their continuous operation and performance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing system upgrades, conducting disaster recovery tests, and maintaining test environments.
  • Sophisticated understanding of investment systems and full-cycle vendor product management.
  • Experience coordinating external vendors for platform-related services, handling vendor relationships, and being responsible for the resolution of any vendor-related issues or bugs
  • Programming and data management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated business processes into actionable requirements.
  • Prior experience in the fixed income asset class.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Power BI, SQL and Office 365 and knowledge of VBA and other programming and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of business operations within the investment management industry.
