Job Description

We are looking for a CSA Superintendent to join our team at a job site near Lexington, Kentucky.

In this role, you will provide technical support to the Construction Management Team. Additionally, you will plan, schedule, and coordinate assigned design/engineering work; provide field engineering solutions to incorporate design changes necessitated by field conditions; monitor work for compliance with applicable codes, and company standards.

This position requires a strong technical engineering background and general construction management understanding with a focus on mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develops working knowledge of the project's design requirements.
  • Assist the Construction Management Team in the delivery of projects.
  • Coordinates home office design/engineering resources to achieve project goals.
  • Maintains project files and records; works systematically with good time management and superior judgment.
  • Works with the Construction Management Team in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including activities lists, durations, sequencing logic, and progress measurement.
  • Develops knowledge of the project budget and identifies exceptions to the project budget throughout the execution of the project.
  • Aligns with the Project Manager to coordinate safety resources to monitor site safety and correct nonconformances.
  • Monitors design content and coordinates design revisions for constructability and compliance with basis documents, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supports the Construction Management Team in the preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, change control documentation, and related financial documentation.
  • Works together with the Construction Management Team in the evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices.
  • Supports the Construction Management Team in facilitating communication between project participants and producing documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Vertical Construction, Engineering, Project Delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a lead civil, structural, architectural Superintendent (highly preferred)
  • Experience managing life science, pharmaceutical or manufacturing projects (highly preferred)

Context & Safety

  • This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
  • You may be assigned to the client site for an extended period.
  • Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client's location is possible, depending on the assignment.
  • You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
  • This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
  • The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for field work for IPS employees or subcontractors.
