Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate with lending lines of business to evaluate proposed business changes, including new or modified products/services, new or modified policies, procedures, processes, or systems to ensure compliance with applicable fair lending related laws and regulations. Ability to engage with personnel in different business units and geographic locations to develop strategy and to develop commitment to CRA obligations. Using vendor supported software tools, evaluate statistical results of loan application and origination activity for low to moderate income and majority minority census tracts.
In collaboration with the Director of Community Reinvestment, prepare CRA lending, investments, and services performance dashboards for quarterly reporting to management and applicable committees. In collaboration with the Director of Community Reinvestment, prepare the annual CRA self-assessment for reporting to management and applicable committees. In collaboration with the Director of Community Reinvestment, track CRA investments from various sources and assist in CRA assessment area allocation., Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to ensure that CRA compliance risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and controlled.
Assist in preparing periodic reports for Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders that include significant CRA developments, risk monitoring, testing results, and KRIs. Keep abreast of business policies, related laws and regulatory guidance, and other legal and regulatory developments related to the Community Reinvestment Act.
Assist in report preparation for the Bank's CRA Committee. Assist in the coordination of regulatory compliance exams and audits as necessary Conduct in depth market by market analysis to identify areas of opportunity. Compile and prepare CRA reports to be presented to front line staff, internal committees and executive management. Create and study data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and workflow optimization. Assist with the design and implementation of new and/or enhanced processes. Support process refinement initiatives to align community engagement with business objectives, maximizing efficiency and scaling impact. Manage internal procedures and processes including CRA testing and annual reviews. Gather, evaluate, and analyze a variety of data sources, forming interpretations and recommendations to support operational decisions and insights. Develop and maintain reporting data models, reports, and dashboards to enable self-service data consumption by the community development team and business stakeholders. Create comprehensive and visually engaging presentations, summarizing quantitative and qualitative information. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong presentation skills. Outgoing, self-motivated, creative thinker that is comfortable analyzing data and drawing conclusions unique to each market. Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities within deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
Familiarity with corporate compliance programs, including risk assessments, testing, and monitoring, training, policy/procedure development, complaint management, and implementation of new products and business processes is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Social Science, Economics or Stats 1-2 years Community Reinvestment Act or Community Development experience preferred CRA knowledge preferred Knowledge of Finance is preferred
Computer and Software Skills
Experience with CRA and Fair Lending preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Deep understanding of data manipulation, data reporting, pivot tables, etc. Understanding of Excel formulas required
