Position Summary
The Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Radiologist to join our growing Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging. This position will be a fixed-term, open rank faculty position in which we seek to hire at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, of Professor commensurate with experience.

The Musculoskeletal Imaging division specializes in the interpretation of a wide variety of radiologic studies focused on evaluation of the musculoskeletal system: conventional radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI), and ultrasonography (US). The division has specific expertise in sports medicine, rheumatology, orthopedic oncology, and trauma. A variety of fluoroscopic, CT, and US-guided interventional procedures are also performed. The most common procedures performed include bone and soft tissue mass biopsies in the extremities and spine, bone marrow aspirations, joint injections/aspirations, and intervertebral disc aspirations. In addition, radiofrequency ablation of osteoid osteoma and a variety of US-guided tendon and nerve procedures may also be performed. The imaging is performed on state-of-the-art CT, 1.5T and 3T MRI, and ultrasound machines.

This is a full-time, permanent appointment (academic rank based on qualifications). The successful candidate will find a wealth of clinical, educational and research opportunities at their disposal and will advance our cutting-edge MSK practice while ensuring work-life balance from a considerate schedule without late or evening shifts. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of Musculoskeletal Imaging including radiography, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, US and musculoskeletal interventional procedures.
