JOB TITLE: International Tax Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery of a full range of International Tax compliance and reporting. Supervises quarterly tax provision calculation and financial statement disclosures for a global medical technology company and its affiliates. Manages all aspects of US International Income Tax compliance. Coordinates with Terumo Corporation and affiliates to ensure accurate reporting of Terumo BCT activities under BEPS Pillar II.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Support the preparation and consolidated global reporting of quarterly and annual provision work papers and the maintenance of deferred tax asset and liability schedules following International Accounting Standard.
  • Act as primary contact related to collection, management and review of US and international tax preparation.
  • Primary and/or secondary review of complex US international and non-US foreign tax returns.
  • Monitor international income tax filing requirements, tracking compliance and developing processes to manage compliance in foreign jurisdictions through external return preparers.
  • Document and monitor transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations in the US and foreign jurisdictions. Understands, analyzes and documents transfer pricing used in various inter-company transactions as well as assisting outside consultants in preparing local country reports.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements using emerging technology solutions.
  • Support tax forecasting, accounting and reporting, business development, legal and compliance processes.
  • Interact with personnel at all levels within the company, external auditors, and outside consultants to support and advance the goals of the company and the tax department.
  • Supervise a junior associate in the delivery of essential duties and support their professional development including allocation of workload, prioritization of projects and performance of feedback.


  • Research international tax issues related to compliance, reporting and/or special projects.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related fields. Master's degree in Accounting or Tax and professional licensure as a CPA preferred but not required.

Experience

Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in the tax department of a large public or private enterprise (public accounting and/or industry), including significant exposure to US international tax, OECD BEPS initiatives and consolidated corporation tax issues.

Minimum of 3 years of focused experience on international taxation.

An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

Skills



  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with demonstrated proficiency in IAS tax accounting and tax compliance.
  • Experience with tax technology solutions and system conversions.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound transaction review, multinational corporation experience, transfer pricing, foreign tax credit utilization, and tax minimization.
  • Exhibit strong understanding of Federal income tax concepts and international concepts included in the federal return.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skill.
  • Strong commitment and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to correspond with external consultants, auditors, and personnel at various levels with the organization.
  • Strong proficiency in ONESOURCE tax software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI and/or Alteryx is a plus.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Target Pay Range:$124,400.00to$155,500.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:10.0%
