The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering in the Statler College at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Research Assistant.

About the Opportunity

The Research Assistant will be required to perform modeling, simulation and control studies using MATLAB/Python.

What You'll Do



  • Perform modeling, simulation and control studies for a pharmaceutical process system. Such studies will include (but will not be limited to) the development of models in MATLAB/Python.
  • Perform literature review and write a manuscript/technical report on the obtained results.


Pay Grade:15

Length of Assignment: Approximately 6 Months

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
  • 0-6 months experience with chemical engineering modeling and programming.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge in chemical engineering modeling and programming at the senior level.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Python.
  • Knowledge of software/programming.
