Client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

Responsibilities:
* Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
* Candidates will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining aircraft subsystems design configurations using current engineering practices and standards
* Designing, developing, testing, and documenting mechanical components and systems for various applications, including those used in space, on land, and in the air, while collaborating with multidisciplinary team

Basic Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer:
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
* Working knowledge of mechanical computer-aided design (CAD) software
* Proficiency in developing design concepts, performing trade studies, and conducting supporting evaluations and analyses.
* Candidates must have CAD design experience with Siemens NX. It would be preferable if they also know Teamcenter as a PDM/PLM tool.
* mechanical design experience a plus

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
* Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures
* Aircraft subsystems routing design experience for fluidic transport elements
* Familiarity with NX Human Modeling
* Familiarity with JPATS 1-8 aircrew anthropometric sizes
* Prior experience with aircraft crew/cockpit design, interiors, or mission equipment/hardware integration
* Cockpit flight controls, crew accommodations, mission systems and subsystems interfaces
* Familiarity with aircraft rack design, shock isolation, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment integration, and mission line replaceable unit (LRU) mounting/integration
* Familiarity with implementing design/integration considerations associated with size, weight, power, and cooling requirements for aircraft equipment
