Sales Representative MRO/Controls
Location: Lower Northeast U.S. (Candidate must reside in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, or Delaware)
Travel Requirement: 30-50%
Compensation: $110,000-$120,000 base salary (DOE) plus commission

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative specializing in MRO and Controls for Power Generation. This individual will be responsible for growing business and managing strategic customer relationships across the lower Northeast U.S., including Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. You will deliver technical, customized solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers in manufacturing, utilities, and facilities management.

Key Responsibilities Sales and Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the MRO and power generation controls market
  • Promote a wide range of MRO products and customized control solutions
  • Support new engine sales opportunities when applicable
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a trusted partner to customers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Directly manage assigned key accounts and expand relationships within existing customer base
  • Understand client operations and provide tailored technical solutions
Product Expertise & Market Knowledge
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of MRO and power generation control systems
  • Collaborate with technical and support teams to deliver solution-based selling
  • Conduct product demos and customer training as needed
Operational Excellence
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports
  • Track competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Ensure quotes and proposals align with company pricing and margin goals
Collaboration and Leadership
  • Coordinate with operations, technical support, and supply chain to meet customer needs
  • Mentor junior sales reps and represent the company at industry events and trade shows
Qualifications and Skills Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in MRO, controls, or related industrial sectors
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation systems and MRO products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
  • Analytical mindset with strategic problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements
  • Candidate must reside in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, or Delaware
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to client sites and industry events
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote role
