Position Title: Postbaccalaureate Intern

Position Location: onsite, Emeryville, CA

As a BR Postbaccalaureate Intern, you will be responsible for conducting an independent research project under the mentorship of a Novartis research scientist.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Attend on-boarding and training sessions

  • Plan, design and execute an independent research project as agreed upon by your Novartis scientist mentor(s)

  • Attend Postbaccalaureate Intern professional development sessions

  • Attend graduate school classes and/or seminars determined necessary to position you for a top tier graduate/professional training program

  • Present your research project at a program poster session or conference

  • Adhere to all Novartis policies

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Have graduated from a US academic institution within 1 year of application

  • Have a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

  • Have a strong desire to pursue a graduate-level degree

  • Are authorized to work in the US for any employer

  • 2 years

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay rate for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $23.00/hour; however, while salary rates are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Salary Range

$52,400.00 - $97,400.00
