We are looking for an Advanced Analytics Lead who is a strong leader and business translator to join our Global Advanced Analytics Team. This position can be based in any of our United States offices in Atlanta, Georgia or Raleigh, North Carolina. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 40% on site presence.

You will deliver data-driven actionable insights from advanced analytics that create high impact patient value within the patient solutions and patient evidence domain. You are a leader with deep advanced analytics skills in leveraging patient real-world data.
Who you'll work with
As a key member of the Global Advanced Analytics Team, you will work closely with Integrated Insights Leads and stakeholders across Patient Solutions, Patient Evidence, and Real World Evidence.
What you'll do
This role provides leadership in advanced analytics, guiding the identification of high-impact business questions and opportunities to improve patient outcomes at UCB. You'll make exceptional business impact through advanced analytics methods, enabling increased use of data, and reducing the necessity for primary data. Your expertise will drive objective, evidence-based decision-making and ensure the successful delivery of advanced analytics solutions. You will:
- Be a strategic partner to internal stakeholders (e.g., Integrated Insight Leads, Patient Solutions, Patient Evidence, Real World Evidence, etc.) to co-create analytics plans and priorities, ensuring collaboration with IT, Data Office, and other analytics teams.
- Lead end-to-end advanced analytics projects, delivering actionable insights and clear recommendations through effective communication, visualization & story-telling to non-technical audiences.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and translators in applying cutting-edge analytics, communicating insights, and implementing recommendations.
- Foster a strong data science community with significant business acumen and communication skills.
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative area, Master/Doctor's in a quantitative area is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working with patient real-world data (insurance claims, EHR, lab test results, HCP notes, registries, etc.) is required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience developing program/project plans and leading programs/projects from initiation to implementation is required
- Minimum of 10 years experience applying predictive modelling techniques such as ML, decision trees, ensemble learning, neural networks etc, and data engineering such as data integration, feature engineering, fuzzy matching, etc., is required
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $148,000-$194,300 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
