Full-time, 40 hours/week 8am-4:30pm Onsite Summary: The Community Benefit/CHNA Coordinator collaborates with and supports the Vice President of External Affairs and Director of Community Benefit, Advocacy & Outreach and supports and oversees the Akron Children's Hospital's system-wide Community Benefit and CHNA initiatives.
Responsibilities: 1.Collaborates with and supports the Vice President of External Affairs and Director of Community Benefit, Advocacy & Outreach and supports and oversees the Akron Children's Hospital's system-wide Community Benefit and CHNA initiatives.
2.Assists with the development of Community Benefit and CHNA strategies and reporting requirements.
3.Refines, implements, and facilitates community benefit data collection mechanism.
4.Evaluates and processes data to determine eligibility for inclusion in hospital reports; audits and reviews materials to ensure data integrity and information reliability.
5.Collaborates with the accounting department in compiling, reviewing and summarizing data.
6.Provides training and education in the area of Community Benefit and CHNA initiatives.
7.Serves as liaison between all Community Benefit and CHNA contacts and Akron Children's Hospital.
8.Organizes, prioritizes, and completes multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
9.Works with various levels of professionals and government officials at local, state and federal levels.
10.Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1.Experience using information derived from databases and manage complex legislative and regulatory initiatives and projects is required.
2.Experience interacting with government officials is preferred.
3.Experience using community benefit data systems is preferred.
4.Experience working under stressful conditions, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines is required.
5.Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.
6.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
7.Experience in healthcare is preferred.
8.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience 1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
2.Certification: None.
3.Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
