The Role:
As the Configurator / CAD Automation Developer, you will help manage the Chromalox CPQ platform used by our sales force and engineers within the company. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with design engineering to develop custom applications to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in our engineering documents.

Additionally, you will partner with the configurator team to tighten the integration between CPQ/ERP and our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. This position requires a self-starter who stays abreast of technological advancements in cloud-based applications and CAD software.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize existing CPQ packages to generate a full Bill of Materials and drawings.
  • Continual bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
  • Support and sometimes lead new CPQ package creation.
  • Assist in CPQ integration with other business platforms.
  • Identify supply chain risks and address them proactively, not reactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to meet business needs.
  • Optimize existing CPQ packages to generate full Bill of Materials and drawings; draw floor plans, blueprints, and mechanical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Creates technical drawings by project requirements and specifications.
  • Continual bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
  • Support and sometimes lead new CPQ package creation.
  • Assist in CPQ integration with other business platforms.
  • Identify supply chain risks and address them proactively, not reactively.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams such as engineering, product management, and sales teams to align on business needs and requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required; experience with Inventor or Solid Works is a plus.
  • Working experience with CPQ is required.
  • Working experience with HTML/CSS and Java/JavaScript is required.
  • Working experience with REST Applications is required.
  • Prior working experience with Oracle Cloud applications is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work with cross-functional teams and with ambiguity.
  • Proven work experience with using written and verbal communication skills to create influence amongst business stakeholders.
