A technical specialist this role will be responsible for defining and implementing cloud native architecture solution for the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Technology Business within LSEG FTSE Russell Division. This is an unique role which primarily is a solution architecture role where, working closely with the FICC Tech head and development teams to deliver FICC roadmap, and aligning to FTSE Russell architecture head for architecture governance. The role also offers an opportunity for the candidate to continue/develop in software development.

Role Responsibilities
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with high academic standing. Experience and problem-solving skills are valued equally.
  • AWS and/or Kubernetes certification preferred
  • Design Cloud native application architecture solution and pattern that will fit into long-term business.
  • Migrating and implement solution for seamlessly application migration to public cloud
  • Architecting pipelines, data models & APIs as cost-effective and secure public cloud services
  • Act as technical liaison between management, product, business, and development teams. Lead the development and evolution of architectural standards and technical governance by collaborating closely with other architecture teams.
  • Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical staff to generate common understanding and relate their challenges to development strategy
  • Champion significant projects and business initiatives using creativity and resourcefulness
  • Work with senior architects in FICC and FTSE enterprise architect to align on architecture governance and approval process.
  • Strategic project involvement which will make a significant impact to the business bottom line
Minimum Requirements:

5+ work experience in financial industry, developing and migrating/deploying cloud native solution

5+ hands-on experience with public cloud AWS/Azure/GCP technologies - AWS Preferred

Hands on experience in application solution design using cloud native technologies, Linux Containers and compute, Kubernetes, serverless functions. Must place emphasis on solution quality and architecture practices

Strong knowledge of a wide array of Infrastructure and Platform technologies including distributed data stores, container management, networking, database, and cloud compute platform

Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and scripting is a plus

Experience in working with Agile development

Exposure to DevOps, SRE & observability tools, and practices.

Deep technical understanding of cloud-native application architecture and standard methodologies in engineering

Good communication, organization and experience working with distributed teams.

Strong understanding of Cloud Security, user entitlements and multi-tenancy

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $125,900 - $209,900. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
