The Co-pay Operations Manager oversees, implements and maintains day-to-day operations of Patient Free Goods strategies focused on the patient (e.g., co-pay, voucher, coupon, starter). This is a specialized role responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and success of Patient Free Goods Programs by optimizing, tracking and reporting Patient Free Goods Programs. The Co-pay Services Manager role is required to work closely with the Co-pay Operations Lead, the Co-pay Operation Team, Access Solutions Team, and third-party vendors to ensure quality, compliance and seamless end to end customer experience for customer interactions as they pertain to Patient Free Goods Programs. This role supports an annual operational budget of $50M used across internal resources and external vendors and is responsible for ensuring their team of Copay Operations Managers meets and exceeds performance goals inline with the strategic vision of the program.

This role is a people leader who reports directly to the Co-pay Services Lead and manages asmall team of highly proficient independent contributors. This role is based in South San Francisco and requires onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering an inspiring work culture and managing performance effectively.

  • Oversee patient Free Goods activities, including implementation, tracking, reporting, and operations to ensure program success.

  • Ensure compliance with Genentech standards and regulations while serving as a subject matter expert in partnership with internal stakeholders.

  • Represent Access Solutions and Patient Support in key meetings, projects, and forums, managing vendor performance and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and execute special projects to enhance the effectiveness of Patient Free Goods Programs and overall results.

Recommended Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, healthcare management, public policy) or equivalent experience; MBA or Master's degree preferred.

  • 5-8 years of industry experience in healthcare, reimbursement, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology; with recommended 5+ years in people management.

  • Knowledge of healthcare trends and needs in healthcare reimbursement and managed care environments, including Access Solutions services.

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, mobilize cross-functional teams, and negotiate business solutions in complex and fast-paced environments.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with excellent analytical abilities and a strong customer focus, possessing deep expertise in operations, compliance, vendor management, or systems infrastructure.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in California is $167,000-$311,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
