Summary:

Driven Business Development Manager with knowledge of the controlled environment rooms (CER) market, specifically focused on controlled environment rooms and grow room technologies. Skilled in prospecting, needs assessment, solution selling, proposal development, and contract negotiation in this commission/bonus position. Passionate about helping clients optimize their controlled and growing environments and achieve their business goals through innovative and effective solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the controlled environment rooms (CER) market, including laboratories, vertical farms, indoor farms, with advanced climate control, with a specific focus on controlled environment rooms.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the market segment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, including laboratory contractors, general contractors, facility managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and consultants.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and recommend tailored solutions involving the company's controlled environment room and grow room offerings.
  • Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of the company's products and services, effectively communicating their value proposition and ROI.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotations, and presentations that address client needs and align with company pricing strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and customer support, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market activities, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies within the controlled environment and grow room sectors.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, generate leads, and enhance brand awareness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipelines.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management, highlighting progress towards goals and identifying potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and product knowledge enhancement.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of hunting success.
  • Understanding of the Controlled Environment Rooms (CER) Market.
  • Excellent Communication, Presentation, and Negotiation Skills.
  • Relationship Building and Networking Abilities.
  • Technical Aptitude and Solution-Oriented Approach.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
