Job Summary:

The Project Scheduler will offer our clients comprehensive project management support, including cost engineering, scheduling, earned value management, and project-level services. The primary objective of the Senior Project Scheduler is to provide scheduling support, with a strong emphasis on adhering to the client's standard procedures for managing large projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost engineering and schedule support/guidance as required to the government to ensure required reporting is provided to accomplish EVMS monitoring/reporting,
  • Verify that the progress reported is the actual state of completion in the field.
  • Support the government in understanding the basis of the data provided and the reports/impact of metrics produced from the client's project management control system.
  • Review baseline schedules for Project Engineers and upload comments in system of record as asecondary reviewer.
  • Review monthly schedules for project engineers and upload comments to system of record as asecondary reviewer.
  • Discuss updated schedules, critical paths, and one-week/two-week look-ahead schedules with the contractor in weekly/biweekly meetings.
  • Review monthly payment requests and other reports submitted by aconstruction contractor.
  • Ensure the construction contractors provide proper information to support EVMS reporting, including schedule progress based on defined performance measurement techniques.
  • Support the government in understanding the basis of the data provided to the client and the reports/impact of metrics produced by the client's project management control system.
  • Support thedevelopment and execution of the change control process.
  • Provide briefings (internal & external) as requested.
  • Assist in corrective action determination related to reporting, forecasting, change control, and performance.
  • Maintain listing and status of outstanding issues of record and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Candidate must have a four-year college degree in related field (engineering, construction management, project management, finance) and 5-10 years of related industry experience.
  • Proficiency in using discipline-specific software applications including, but not limited to, Oracle P6, Ares Prism, Crystal Ball.
  • Demonstrated skill using software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of scope change management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost problems.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data).
  • Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication.
  • Possess strong communication, leadership, and organization skills.
  • Cost engineering/project management certification is preferred. If no current certification exists, one must be eligible to attain certification within one year of employment (PMP, PSP, CCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience with USACE applications P2, CEFMS, RMS, MII.
  • Active clearance or eligible to obtain

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed in an interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Work may involve walking and climbing at construction sites.
  • Occasional travel required
