Project Engineer
Location: Windsor Locks, CT Job ID: #70991 Pay Range: $27-33 AN HOUR 12 MONTH CONTRACT Seeking a Project Engineer to support Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) hardware for the Orion program. This position will take direction from the Orion Platform Chief Engineer and the Orion Program Chief Engineers to support qualification efforts, procurement, and production hardware assembly and test. The candidate should have the ability to lead Engineering Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) for design and development activities, support verification planning and closeout activities, and support hardware at our suppliers and on the assembly floor. Engineering support of hardware includes dispositioning non-conforming material in SAP, responding to Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs), leading failure investigations to determine root cause and corrective action, managing Engineering Changes, and providing Engineering support during customer and supplier meetings. Experience/Education: Candidate should have at least a B.S. and 3-5 years experience. Experience with all or some of the following would be ideal: Project Management Earned Value (EV) Control Account Management Change Management Risk & Opportunity Management Quality Notifications Engineering Changes Supplier Requests for Information Deviations/Waivers Failure Investigations Root Cause/Corrective Action This job is considered a sensitive position in accordance with NASA Guidelines.
