We are seeking a Systems Engineer who provides professional technology support and maintenance to all clients, focusing on network infrastructure and end-user operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient performance of network systems, while also offering expert technical assistance and supporting infrastructure upgrades and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with network technologies, systems, security protocols, and network monitoring tools.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Documents all related changes and configurations including service tickets.

  • Provides support to all clients regarding issues or upgrades.

  • Participates in formal and on-the-job training.

  • Prepares and completes assigned tasks in an efficient manner and within allotted timeframes.

  • Documents procedures performed, findings and/or other issues, and drafts/compiles work papers, reports and client correspondence exhibiting effective writing skills.

  • Monitors workload to meet billable hour expectations and performs timely reviews of work products prior to submission for further review.

  • Prepares for relevant certification exams until completed and maintains the required CPE for firm and licensing requirements.

Other Duties:

  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.

  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance (e.g., procedure optimization).

  • Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.

  • Performs other services as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field is required

  • 3+ years of network engineering experience

  • Cisco and/or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

  • Knowledge of Cisco, Meraki, Checkpoint and HPE network environments and command line interfaces.

  • Knowledge of IP and Subnetting Practices.

  • Knowledge of network routing protocols and standards, such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

  • Knowledge of network switching protocols and standards, such as link aggregation, VLANs, 802.1Q trunks, and VTP.

  • Knowledge of virtualized environments and hypervisors, such as VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V.

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Office 365, and SharePoint.

  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in business and technical environments.

  • Communicate professionally and appropriately with individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and positions.

  • Able to work in a highly organized manner within a fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.

  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environment.

  • May be required to travel and perform after hours/weekend assignments on an as needed basis.

  • May be required to travel and work from different company and client locations.

  • Availability to co-workers is required on a 24/7 basis.
