Manager, Commercial Sales Operations

Myriad Genetics discovers, develops, and commercializes molecular genetic tests that determine the risk of developing disease, assess disease progression, and guide treatment decisions in Oncology, Women's Health, and Mental Health. The Commercial Operations team is looking for a Manager, Commercial Operations to support our sales teams. This person will lead key data, reporting and analytics actions to drive business growth. This Manager should have excellent analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, strong planning and organizing skills and have a history of meeting deadlines. This person should be a self-starter, balanced with a desire to achieve team goals

Responsibilities



  • Will act as Commercial Operations "Point Person" for Sales Commercial Leadership
  • Attend all supported BU meetings to share robust insights and analysis
  • Drive initiatives to improve sales, marketing, and operational data management and analysis including managing cross-functional teams and projects
  • Lead forecasting across the enterprise and forecast the performance of various initiatives
  • Manage the sales operating expense budget, including annual forecasting and monthly tracking
  • Identify and Execute opportunities for improved data and reporting
  • Recognize data sources and develop actions to access and analyze data
  • Implement and automate data reporting
  • Report generation, analysis, and query writing in SQL and other technologies
  • Perform data analysis and create visualizations in SFDC & Looker
  • Regularly report sales performance
  • Analyze the volume and revenue performance of key initiatives and programs, providing insights that improve business performance
  • Analyze key operational metrics for the field sales team to uncover trends, identify opportunities and flag risks and issues
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested to uncover opportunities and investigate business challenges
  • Work closely with the data management team to ensure data quality and consistency
  • Provide analyses to inform the design of our incentive compensation plans
  • Forecast incentive compensation amounts and accurately calculate commission and special payouts for field sales and inside sales
  • Maintain and develop sales dashboards to provide reps and managers with actionable insights
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests from sales leadership


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management or related field
  • 2+ years of people or team management experience required
  • 7+ years as an analyst supporting sales, operations, and/or marketing; preferred experience Sales Operations Analytics, Business Analysis or a Financial Analyst role, healthcare, biotech, or similar industry experience a plus
  • Superior analytical skills; high level of attention to detail with strong business acumen
  • Ability to see the big picture and make quick correlations between data sets
  • Experience with business process improvement and working with others to implement change
  • Technical Systems & Software:

    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Experience with territory mapping software is a plus
    • Experience utilizing business intelligence systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) required
    • SQL or similar programming language experience preferred
    • Salesforce experience required

  • Ability to partner, collaborate, and influence across a wide spectrum of functions that are part of the business planning process


Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
