We are seeking a Recruiting Manager in our Minneapolis office to oversee recruiting and onboarding of US Summer Associates and Entry Level Lawyers. In this role, you will work closely with Partner Recruiting Chairs to design and manage a top-ranked Summer Associate program. In addition, you will implement and identify priorities and processes related to Entry Level lawyer recruiting. Key Responsibilities Include:

US Summer Associate Program:
- Assist in developing and implement strategy for Summer Associate recruitment.
- Develop strategy for the Firm's participation in OCI and job fairs. Build and maintain relationships with law schools and other external recruiting partners.
- Screen applications to identify candidates who meet the Firm's hiring needs and standards.
- Working with Recruiting Chairs, select Summer Associate candidates for callback interviews.
- Train interviewers on best practices, including working with local hiring committees and administrators to create continuity among interview practices.
- Implement and help develop programming and training for US Summer Associates, including orientation.
- Implement and help develop work assignment, evaluation and other processes for the US Summer Associate program. Draft, revise, and interpret policies relating to Summer Associates.

Minneapolis Summer Associate Program:
- Manage all aspects of the Minneapolis Summer Associate program, collaborating with Recruiting Chairs and Recruiting Committee.
- Prepare all communications related to the summer program, as well as pre- and post- summer communications.
- Plan, host, and attend all summer events with support from events planning colleagues.
- Manage coordination of facilities and logistics including office space, equipment, administrative support.
- Manage Summer Associate evaluation process, including mid-summer evaluations, final evaluations, and the end of summer offer meeting.
- Provide necessary and appropriate coaching and guidance to Summer Associates.

Firm-Wide Entry Level Recruiting:
- Implement and help identify strategic priorities and processes related to Entry Level lawyer recruiting.
- Work with Recruiting Chairs and Department Heads to determine practice group placements for new hires.
- Manage the onboarding of new associate hires including the offer process and ensure completion of all due diligence steps. Prepare and send all onboarding correspondence to new associates.
- Oversee the coordination of orientation and training schedules.

Other Duties:
- Supervise coordinator position regarding administrative tasks associated with the above responsibilities.
- Actively manage expenses to meet budget requirements; audit and code invoices.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to manage and oversee the Entry Level recruiting related information on DorseyNet, the Dorsey Careers site, and social media.
- Identify, collect, and submit Firm information for external student directories/publications.
- Manage completion of all recruiting related surveys and marketing publications such as Chambers, Vault, NALP, etc. and ensure the Firm's NALP forms are complete and current.

What we're looking for:

- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of legal recruiting experience, or at least 8 years of professional recruiting experience.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience, including training, work direction, and feedback.
- Ability to negotiate individual, group, and firm-wide needs to interface successfully with multiple levels of team members.
- Excellent diplomacy skills and sound judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated process management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various spreadsheet, database, and internet search tools.
- Strong knowledge of employment law.
- Ability to work extended hours, as necessary.
- Understanding of the wide-ranging areas of law practiced by a full-service law firm (preferred).

The pay range for this position in Minnesota only is an annual salary of $88,500 to $115,000.

This range represents Dorsey's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
