POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Administrator will be responsible in assisting and coordinating the hiring, training, safety, benefits and personnel functions. This position also assists with many of the daily and weekly payroll functions for the hourly Team Members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Responsible for the hourly recruitment process, which includes interviewing, testing, and hiring of employees.
  • Conducts hourly new hire orientation.
  • Track daily absenteeism.
  • Maintains all hourly personnel files, benefit records, medical files and I-9 forms.
  • Processes unemployment, employment verification, and insurance forms.
  • Administers benefit programs which include group health, 401K, and other similar programs.
  • Completes insurance termination paperwork with TPA within one (1) week of termination.
  • Maintains the integrity of the HRIS and attendance databases.
  • Assists in certain aspects of plant safety to help assure team member safety and O.S.H.A. compliance of all state and federal guidelines.
  • Oversees the apprenticeship program and has authority to authorize classes and expenses.
  • Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:



  1. College Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
  2. Three (3) to five (5) years professional experience in H.R. environment preferred.


SPECIAL SKILLS:

Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with other people (must be a team player).
