Job Description

This position provides project maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair support for the third shift for the Morgantown facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Rebuild cathode plugs assemblies to achieve maximum reliability
  • Rebuild cathode plug supports and H.V. stab connections
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective E.B. Gun maintenance and cleaning on regular P.M. intervals
  • Make major repairs and adjustments to the Electron Beam guns as requested by furnace personnel
  • Maintain a complete spare parts and supplies inventory to support 24 hour/7 day a week operation
  • Coordinate outside repairs and machining of E.B. gun parts
  • Assist with other maintenance and repair requirements as required

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED is required; 2-year degree in trade school desired
  • 2 years' experience with electronic maintenance and repair
  • Machine experience and complex assembly experience helpful
  • Ability to correctly use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Must be willing to work overtime to ensure projects are implemented on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Lift up to 35lbs
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • E.B. Furnace Operator experience is desired.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
