Full-Time - Medical Associate - Orthopedics

Job Description

Aids proper patient-flow by preparing and supplying all examination rooms for scheduled appointments. Initiates and tracks paperwork resulting from consultation/examination. Escorts patient. Obtains authorizations, answering of voicemails, and managing patient correspondence. Provides coverage for team members as needed. Scheduling of appointments. This role excludes any direct patient care or care delivery activities (including vital signs).

Job Responsibility

1.Escorts patient to and from examination and/or procedure areas.

2. Schedules Appointments, follow ups and cancelations.

3.Obtains authorizations, answering of voicemails and managing of patient correspondence.

4.Initiates and tracks related paperwork such as patient correspondence, prescription call-ins and renewals and authorizations, lab work, test results and other.

5.Provides coverage as needed.

6.This role excludes any direct patient care or care delivery activities (including vital signs).

Job Qualification

1.High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2.0-1 years of relevant experience, required.

Additional Details: Ability and flexibility to work within the operating hours (Monday - Friday, 8am-8pm), with 1-2 late nights and various morning/midday shifts, along with rotating weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 9am-5pm)
