Position Overview

The role of the Southwest Region Manager requires management of all aspects of our Food Service business in the Southwestern region. This exciting role is heavily engaged with customers at all levels including local and regional operators, as well as national chains. This includes but not limited to sales management, broker management, implementing collaborative selling strategies, as well as building key relationships. This role will report to the National Food Service Sales Manager.

Principal Duties:




  • Proven experience selling in the hospitality industry.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key operators, distributors, regional and national accounts.
  • Secure and direct annual joint business planning sessions with key stakeholders to continue and build upon our strategic partnership with each customer.
  • Manage, train, and work with Broker Sales Agencies in strategic planning and strategies.
  • Manage marketing and trade spending when the opportunity exists.
  • Assist in the collection of open invoices and unauthorized deductions.
  • Explore and develop new channels of distribution.
  • Work both independently and thrive in a cross functional teamwork.
  • Collaborate with Finance by assisting in receivables and deduction reconciliation.
  • Ability to multi-task both long and short-term objectives without sacrificing quality of work.
  • Regular written and verbal reporting.
  • Build a peer network and develop a broader understanding of the overall food service business.



Qualifications:



  • Education: 4-year bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry.
  • Technical skills: Power BI/Tableau or other reporting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong selling communication skills utilized with all customers and potential customers, both written and verbal.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Highly organized and proactive in approach to problem solving with the ability to meet strict timelines and aggressive goals.
  • Ability to travel regularly with occasional weekends (trade shows/conferences).
  • A hybrid work environment will split time between working remote and the Dallas corporate office. Training or other meetings may require additional in person days.
