Job Description

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems has a great opportunity for a Returns Program Manager in our Chantilly, Virginia location who will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end returns process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker and deep expertise in returns management, particularly within the aerospace and defense industry.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Continuously analyze and improve returns processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major returns issues, resolving escalated customer concerns and ensuring a positive resolution.
  • Ensure all returns processes comply with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to streamline the returns process and address root causes of returns.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor returns trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify potential risks in the returns process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.



Required Qualifications:



  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related.
  • Typically requires 6 years of experience in returns management, customer service, or supply chain management within the aerospace, defense, semi-conductor or microelectronics industries.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of driving process improvements and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction in a cross-functional or matrixed environment.
  • Experience with aerospace and defense industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to returns and customer service.
  • Experience in returns management systems and tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively across departments and build strong relationships.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Oracle ERP experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills; strong communication and interpersonal.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
