We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to work in the Environmental, Health and Safety department at our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for managing and developing ATI Safety Programs. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to manage large tasks, organize, and solve problems.

Additional Responsibilities



  • Become program champion for assigned ATI Safety Programs.
  • Conduct Safety Program Audits for program development and floor execution.
  • Identify and address unsafe hazards/conditions.
  • Manage and develop Safety Technical Instructions.
  • Develop, maintain, and conduct safety related training as required.
  • Track and report on ATI Safety Metrics.
  • Serve as a regulatory compliance resource.
  • Serve as a safety and health resource to support line management.
  • Serve as an active leader in the review of incident investigations.
  • Review safe task procedures and assure adherence to company policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate onsite contractor safety.
  • Assist in new equipment installation reviews.
  • Supports other Specialty Materials facilities as necessary
  • Support operations in injury management including after normal work hours and weekends.
  • Maintain EHS database.
  • Must complete the MESH Training through the National Safety Council
  • Must sit for the Advanced Safety Certificate through the National Safety Council


Basic Qualifications



  • High School Diploma / GED



Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Health and Safety or a related field



Skills



  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Good grammar and communication skills
  • Time management skills
