Your tasks Works with Production Managers to improve efficiency and through-put. Conducts Root Cause Analysis for problem solving. Ensures optimum utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools by assisting in preparation of feasibility studies and ensuring that the costs incurred are justified. Evaluates various improvements that need to be made and creates value analysis determining possible ways to reduce costs in the engineering and manufacturing applications. Identifies methodology and processes to increase productivity and efficiency. Manages major projects, including management of outside vendors to facilitate timely completion. Assists in training personnel in new equipment start up. Troubleshoot problems as necessary. Conducts time studies to ensure optimum and accurate standards for new and existing products. Assists in analyzing and selecting equipment to be purchased. Identifies processes where automation may be justified. Leads training of personnel in new equipment start-up. Works with Product Engineering on manufacturability of product. Keeps abreast of new technology in the areas of equipment, processes and automation. Assured all environmental regulations are followed. Develop methods and make recommendations that would help in reducing cost without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality. Trains other Manufacturing Engineers Reviews machinery and processes to maximize capacities. Works with all departments within and outside the plant to resolve matters related to engineering. Adheres to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 Safety certification requirements. Other duties as assigned. Your profile BS in Mechanical, Plastics/Polymers or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in plastic extrusion. Preferred MS in Engineering. Six (6) to ten (10) years' relevant experience in Manufacturing environment. Experience with Root Cause Analysis techniques.
