CAD Electrical Designer

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is seeking a CAD Electrical Designer to support our client located in Oak Ridge, TN.

Responsibilities:

The CAD Electrical Designer will prepare Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) design drawings to support complex facility equipment and system integrations.

• Utilizing AutoCAD software to prepare drawings to project specifications.
• Coordinates work with that of others in discipline groups and other discipline groups on the project.
• Prepares complete information for design details that can be distributed to other design or draft personnel for completion.
• Understands project scope as presented within a specific discipline.
• Ensure that designs are consistent with project technical requirements and scope.
• Works to project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.
• Produce electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layout drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

• A 2-year associate degree in related discipline or related technical area of study and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in CAD.
  • A high school diploma and 10 years of relevant technical experience.
• An in-depth expert level of knowledge and skills in CAD electrical design.
• Demonstrated experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in related discipline or related technical area of study.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical software.

Location/Work Arrangement:

• This position is located on site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
