24784BR Groundskeeper Senior Supervisor Woodson Complex Description Manages multiple crews in the performance of a broad spectrum of grounds maintenance and hardscape construction work. Qualifications Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate. Four (4) years of experience in grounds maintenance, one (1) year of which shall have been in an oversight or supervisory role. Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record. May be required to operate a commercial motor vehicle, as defined below, and possess a Commercial Driver's License CDL-A. "Commercial Motor Vehicle" is defined as a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used in commerce to transport passengers or property if the motor vehicle has any of the following: A gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds. A gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds. Is designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver. Is of any size and is used in the transportation of hazardous materials requiring placards. May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume an emergency call-out list status. Knowledge of groundskeeping methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in landscape and hardscape operations. Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices, local, state, and national codes, related environmental issues, safety precautions, and compliance. Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, technical documents, and specifications related to general site development and maintenance. Ability to develop accurate job cost estimates, prioritize work sequences, and meet deadlines. Ability to use a computer in the performance of duties utilizing Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Completion of apprentice-level training in the operation of heavy motorized equipment.
