Groundskeeper Senior Supervisor

Woodson Complex

Description

Manages multiple crews in the performance of a broad spectrum of grounds maintenance and hardscape construction work.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
  • Four (4) years of experience in grounds maintenance, one (1) year of which shall have been in an oversight or supervisory role.
  • Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
  • May be required to operate a commercial motor vehicle, as defined below, and possess a Commercial Driver's License CDL-A.
  • "Commercial Motor Vehicle" is defined as a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used in commerce to transport passengers or property if the motor vehicle has any of the following:
    • A gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds.
    • A gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds.
    • Is designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver.
    • Is of any size and is used in the transportation of hazardous materials requiring placards.
  • May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume an emergency call-out list status.
  • Knowledge of groundskeeping methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in landscape and hardscape operations.
  • Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices, local, state, and national codes, related environmental issues, safety precautions, and compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, technical documents, and specifications related to general site development and maintenance.
  • Ability to develop accurate job cost estimates, prioritize work sequences, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use a computer in the performance of duties utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
  • Completion of apprentice-level training in the operation of heavy motorized equipment.

$57,182 - $96,526
