Job Title: Full Stack Developer, Senior

Onsite Requirement: A couple of days onsite required and travel to different sites.

Job Summary: LCG is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer, Senior to support the modernization of the client Applicant and Administrator Systems. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development-planning, design, coding, configuration, installation, testing, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, integration, and maintenance-within a Microsoft .NET and Azure cloud environment.

The ideal candidate has a proven record of delivering scalable and modernized web-based applications and possesses expert-level knowledge in front-end, back-end, database, and cloud-based solutions using the latest technologies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the development and modernization of web applications supporting client's hiring and administrative systems.
  • Perform software analysis, architecture design, module estimation, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces compatible across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based architecture for scalable integrations.
  • Migrate data from DB2 to modern SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and testers to deliver functional, maintainable solutions.
  • Integrate new systems with DOE's internal platforms (e.g., Payroll, Collections, District 75 systems).
  • Automate workflows related to hiring, billing, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Implement robust security controls to meet client standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input into sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including systems architecture, integration protocols, and support procedures.
  • Conduct functional, unit, and performance testing; support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Contribute to the deployment pipeline in an Azure DevOps environment and support CI/CD integration.


Qualifications



  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in full stack software development in Microsoft environments.
  • Certifications: Current Microsoft and/or Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Languages/Frameworks: .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React.js
  • Database: Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 (for migration), Azure SQL, database design and optimization
  • Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization
  • Integration: API development and integration, RESTful services, Salesforce CRM integration (desirable)
  • Microservices: Proven experience designing and building microservices in enterprise applications
  • Other Tools: Git, Jira, Visual Studio, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Security: Familiarity with client Information Security Requirements and non-functional technical standards
  • Experience modernizing legacy enterprise systems, especially in public sector environments
  • Familiarity with client's internal data systems and business rules
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and cross-browser compatibility techniques
  • Background in supporting education-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with email systems and traffic/load optimization


Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,900 to $149,400 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $135,100 annually for this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
