Description

The management trainee program is an opportunity to develop the future leaders of our organization. As a management trainee, you will rotate through key departments to gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and build a solid understanding of the bank's products, services, and internal processes.

Project(s) throughout the experience will allow the trainee to demonstrate their abilities and provide insight into specific areas of banking. The bank values the trainee's unique perspectives and encourages them to share their innovative thoughts and suggestions both in their reports and meetings.

The management trainee program is your opportunity to demonstrate your abilities to observe, discover, and contribute to each department. This requires clear communication with all stakeholders, and the ability to work autonomously while being accountable for your time in each department to maximize the learning experience.

Below is a list of essential job functions. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and understand the fundamentals of banking operations, including customer service, account management, loans, and transactions to understand financial needs and how we can improve.
  • Observe and serve in various capacities to acquire working knowledge of individual operations and management styles.
  • Participate in structured training to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Attend meetings, classes, or seminars as the opportunities are presented to increase proficiency and broaden understanding of banking.
  • Management Trainees are expected to volunteer their time to assist with at least one local community or charitable event during their training period

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. A high school diploma is required, and college diploma is highly recommended with additional experience preferred. A background screening will be conducted.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel frequently to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
