We are seeking a dedicated and skilled GI technician to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. As a GI Tech, you will work alongside other GI Technicians and healthcare professionals to provide exemplary care and support in the gastroenterology department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assist in preparing patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Set up and maintain endoscopy equipment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and functioning properly.
• Assist gastroenterologists and nurses during procedures, providing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, alerting the team to any changes.
• Ensure sterilization and cleanliness of instruments and procedure rooms following infection control protocols.
• Educate and provide instructions to patients on post-procedure care and necessary follow-up.
• Collaborate with other GI Techs and staff to maintain a smooth workflow and high standard of care.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and prepare orders as required.

1. High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
2. An Associate of Science in surgical technology or related field is preferred.
3. Previous experience working in the gastroenterology field is preferred.
4. BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
