Systems Analyst Jr

XLA is looking for a Jr Systems Analyst to join our team.



  1. Provide support for all FA systems (Acquisition, Purchase Card). Systems include DEA internal, other Governmental Systems and non-governmental systems, as appropriate. Support includes:

    1. Monitor, Impact Assessment and DEA Implementation planning for external program and system development
    2. Develop and Deploy System Training
    3. Develop and Maintain System and Process documentation
    4. Develop and Maintain User documentation
    5. Hotline User Support
    6. Develop and Maintain System Metrics & Dashboard Reports
    7. Execute System/Data Audits
    8. Release Management
    9. Test version releases and upgrades
    10. Execute system data pulls and data analysis/ data mining tasks and report
    11. System Development: [a] Develop system Requirements, [b] Project Management and [c] System Pilot and [d] Implementation


  2. Automate manual processes with applications including, but not limited to:

    1. SQL,
    2. SharePoint (SP2016 and 2019),
    3. SharePoint Designer (2013)
    4. InfoPath,
    5. SharePoint 365 [and Power-automate] - to be implemented late FY25
    6. Captivate,
    7. Microsoft Office suite,
    8. Adobe Pro,
    9. UFMS (Momentum),
    10. MS PowerBI
    11. DEALS [DEA training application]
    12. .Net


  3. Research and learn new technology tools and applications to improve processes in FA and/or DEA.
  4. Monitor the Environment for new developments (in systems, policies, programs, directives, FAR changes, laws, operational changes, etc.) for DEA and Acquisition impacts. Assess impact, develop optional ways to address for management consideration and implementation.
  5. Work closely and coordinate with Acquisition Operations and Policy on day-to-day operational assessments and process improvement enhancements.
  6. Develop and manage all Office internal / external communications (including 508 compliance, as required): Develop memorandums, emails, instructions, etc.; Manage standardizing and consistency of communication across Office; Manage vetting processes, publishing and posting standards.
  7. Full life-cycle support for the Financial Management Division's (CFO) intranet and team sites (DEA-wide access = intranet, internal division/office access = team sites). SharePoint platform.
  8. Identify Process Improvement Opportunities: Document for management presentation, develop process workflows, and system requirements, manage development projects
  9. Develop and manage System Development [From requirements through implementation]
  10. Respond to FOIA calls into FA
  11. Data Mining and Reporting - respond to Data Calls from FA customers, DEA Customers, DOJ customers, Outside customers and agencies

    1. Proficient in at least one of the following:




  1. UFMS application, Momentum software or similar contract/financial management system
  2. Federal contracting,



  • User helpdesk experience,



  1. Broad technical skills (SQL, SharePoint, Power BI, .Net)
