Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a hybrid position (Onsite + telework)

As an Accounts Payable Specialist with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

Process high volume of Accounts Payable invoices daily (2-way and 3-way match) within a structured deadline
• Ensure all customer invoices are processed in a timely manner
• Process high volume of expense reports through Concur Expense
• Work with employees in processing their expense reports
• Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of vendors and customers
• Reconcile payments and expenditures, purchase orders, checks, and refunds
• Perform monthly reconciliations
• Actively participate in month end close processes and ensure deadlines are met
• Assist accounting management to maintain and prepare annual vendor 1099 tax forms

• US Citizenship required. Authorized to work in United States
• 5-10 years of related experience
• At least some College education in Accounting
• Preferred knowledge of Cost Point and Concur Invoicing/Expense
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficient with Microsoft office 2013
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
