Job Description

This position will be responsible for solicitation and booking of recreational day group trips to the resort. This would include alpine and Nordic skiing, weekly school programs, scenic gondola trips, canopy tour, guided bike/hike trips, golf tournaments and golfing groups, and any other recreational activities. This position will also be responsible for bringing in new memberships into the BW Club and enhancing the membership offerings during the year. This position would oversee major events at the ski area and golf clubhouse. This position will also have oversite of Membership experience and will direct Membership Manager and Membership Supervisor

Responsibilities

    • Oversite of Membership experience on a day-to-day basis. Direct membership of staff on policies and procedures.
    • Solicits Day ski area groups that do not require guest rooms and works closely with Ticket and Sales Managers.
    • Solicits and markets the BW Club to build the current membership.
    • Coordinates with others the major events at the ski area, Golf clubhouse and membership.
    • Participates with the resort team that is responsible for the creation and implementation of summer and winter events, theme weekends and social activities programs.
    • Maintain communications with all departments throughout the resort regarding special events, working closely with the Sales, Banquet and Set-up departments to ensure smooth, properly scheduled events.
    • Works closely with the Executive Team and the Marketing Department for planning and
    • Works with CS Manager for generating Banquet Event Orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests and all other necessary paperwork for major events and special activities.
    • Maintains files for each special event
    • Evaluates and summarizes each special event and follows up with the appropriate executives in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Maintain communications with all departments throughout the resort regarding groups and special events, working closely with Ski ops, Sales, Banquet and Set-up departments to ensure smooth, properly scheduled events


Qualifications

    • College Diploma, plus three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.
    • Event promotion/implementation and/or Marketing experience preferred.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be attentive to detail.
    • Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
    • Must be punctual and reliable.
    • Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
    • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
    • Must be able willing to work in unfavorable weather conditions.
    • Must be able to ski and/or snowboard at and expert level.
    • Must be available to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays
