The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Talent Development Associate to join our Talent Development team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the design, execution, and continuous improvement of company-wide talent and leadership development initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to contribute to programs that elevate employee engagement, growth, and performance.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Drive the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise-wide talent and leadership development programs for El Segundo employees, including onboarding, manager development, high-potential initiatives, and learning events.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual learning sessions, workshops, and program orientations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (People & Culture BPs, business leaders, external vendors and partners) to ensure alignment of talent development initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Analyze learning program data and metrics (e.g., participation, feedback, outcomes) to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support the development and curation of learning content, materials, toolkits, and resources for both home-grown courses and programs, as well as vendor purchased courses and programs.
  • Maintain and update learning systems and platforms regularly, ensuring accurate records and smooth user experience.
  • Draft communication plans, including crafting program announcements, follow-ups, and internal marketing materials.
  • Stay current and share best practices and trends in talent development, adult learning, and leadership development.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support logistics for external facilitators and content providers.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, talent development, organizational development, or a related field, ideally within a large or global company.
  • Proven experience supporting or facilitating learning programs or training sessions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear and compelling learning content.
  • Analytical mindset; comfort working with data to assess learning impact.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies (LMS, virtual collaboration tools like Zoom or Teams, e-learning platforms).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with instructional design or adult learning theory.
  • Knowledge of 70-20-10 learning models, leadership frameworks, and behavioral assessments (e.g., DiSC, Hogan, Predictive Index).

The annual base salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $117,000.

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
